The Census says, citywide there are more single women than men (in the 20-34 age group) in NYC.
New York’s Economic Development Corporation has taken time away from remaking markets, promenades and brokering regional manufacturing deals to dispel the myth that NYC is a tough town for single ladies.
I’d love to see this crossed with race. It looks like women still outnumber men in almost every most-ly white neighborhood. And in hipster hotspots like Williamsburg it’s a close call, but does skews in the ladies’ favor with more single men on the prowl.
